Trademark and brand infringement monitoring
Monitor marketplaces, social platforms, and domain registrations for counterfeit listings, brand misuse, and confusingly similar marks, and prepare evidence packs for takedown requests.

Opportunity assessment
Minor improvement. Small efficiency gain with limited effect on overall turnover or bottom line.
Relatively straightforward. Off-the-shelf tools handle the core task. Implementation is well-understood with good examples to follow.
Light data requirements. Uses straightforward inputs — documents, product descriptions, customer records — that are usually accessible with minimal prep.
Low risk. Limited external exposure. A human reviews output before it reaches anyone outside the team.
Very easy to absorb. Runs quietly in the background or gives people a helpful new input. Makes everyday work easier with almost no friction.

Things to consider
Image matching finds far more than text matching. Counterfeit listings routinely avoid the brand name in the title while using your own product photography, which vision models catch immediately.
Detection volume will exceed your capacity to act. Prioritise by marketplace reach and price point rather than trying to action everything, or the programme stalls under its own output.
Legitimate resellers, review sites, and secondhand listings will be flagged. Maintain an allowlist and review it, because sending takedowns to genuine customers is a reputational own goal.
Experiment starter: Run image-based monitoring on your ten best-selling products across two marketplaces for a month. Count confirmed infringements and estimate the diverted revenue to size the ongoing case.

Contract review and clause risk flagging
Review inbound contracts against the company's playbook of acceptable positions, flagging non-standard clauses — liability caps, indemnities, termination, auto-renewal — with the preferred alternative wording.
NDA triage and standard-term approval
Automatically assess inbound NDAs against a pre-approved position, approve those that match, and escalate only the ones with material deviations, with the deviations highlighted.
Legal research and precedent summarisation
Summarise relevant legislation, regulator guidance, and internal precedent for a specific question, with citations, giving the in-house team a researched starting point rather than a blank page.
