Opportunity assessment
Minor improvement. Small efficiency gain with limited effect on overall turnover or bottom line.
Relatively straightforward. Off-the-shelf tools handle the core task. Implementation is well-understood with good examples to follow.
Moderate data needs. Works with data most businesses hold, but will likely need consolidation, cleaning, or reformatting before use.
Very low risk. Fully internal use. A person checks everything before it goes further. Worst case is a minor internal inconvenience.
Light people impact. A new tool slots into an existing workflow. Minimal training needed. Most people will adapt quickly.

Things to consider
The value depends entirely on the quality and completeness of your supplier performance data. If you don't track delivery performance, quality defects, and payment terms consistently, the brief will have gaps.
Buyers need to trust the data before they'll use it in a negotiation — a wrong number undermines credibility at exactly the wrong moment.
This is preparation support, not negotiation strategy — the brief gives the buyer better information, but the negotiation itself remains a human skill.
Experiment starter: For your next three supplier reviews, have an LLM compile the performance data, market context, and suggested talking points from your existing records. Ask the buyer to rate the brief's usefulness on a 1–5 scale and note what was missing.
