Demand pattern summarisation
Convert sales, stock, and forward-order data into plain-language summaries for planning meetings. Identifies trends, spikes, and cover risks.

Opportunity assessment
Negligible commercial impact. Saves time at the margins but won't move the needle on revenue or profit.
Very easy to implement. Ready-to-use tools exist. Can be up and running in days or weeks with minimal technical resource.
Moderate data needs. Works with data most businesses hold, but will likely need consolidation, cleaning, or reformatting before use.
Very low risk. Fully internal use. A person checks everything before it goes further. Worst case is a minor internal inconvenience.
Very easy to absorb. Runs quietly in the background or gives people a helpful new input. Makes everyday work easier with almost no friction.

Things to consider
Structured data export from your planning system is the starting point — the AI summarises what you give it, so the data quality and completeness determines the insight quality.
Agree on the summary format with the planning team before building — the AI should produce output that slots into your existing meeting cadence.
This is decision support, not a forecast. Planners still apply judgment on promotions, seasonality, and local factors the data doesn't capture.
The most useful summaries often surface things planners already know but haven't articulated. The value is in making the obvious visible quickly, not in generating new insight — that's still worth doing.
Experiment starter: For the next three planning meetings, export the relevant data and run it through a structured summary prompt before each meeting. Collect feedback from planners on whether the summary saved preparation time and whether anything useful was surfaced that they might otherwise have missed.
