Extended producer responsibility reporting requires packaging data at a level of detail most businesses do not currently hold. Automated classification produces the evidence as a by-product of the operational benefit.
Feedback has to reach the people doing the segregating, in the moment. A monthly compliance report changes nothing on the loading bay.
Experiment starter: Instrument the waste area at two sites and classify for a month. Compare the measured contamination rate against what your waste contractor charges you for, and take the gap to the contract review.
