Business Impact
2

Minor improvement. Small efficiency gain with limited effect on overall turnover or bottom line.

Feasibility
3

Moderate effort. Requires configuration, prompt engineering, and testing. A capable team can get there but expect several months.

Data Readiness
3

Moderate data needs. Works with data most businesses hold, but will likely need consolidation, cleaning, or reformatting before use.

Risk Exposure
3

Moderate risk. Some customer or external exposure. Errors create rework or reputational impact but are recoverable.

Change Complexity
4

Light people impact. A new tool slots into an existing workflow. Minimal training needed. Most people will adapt quickly.

Things to consider

  • Field name similarity is a weak signal for semantic equivalence. Two fields called 'price' can mean ex-VAT and inc-VAT, and that mistake will surface as a financial discrepancy months later.

  • Give the model real sample payloads, not just schemas. The edge cases live in the data — empty strings that mean zero, sentinel dates, encoding quirks.

  • Mappings that touch money, tax, or stock quantity should get a mandatory second review regardless of how confident the draft looks.

  • Experiment starter: Take a completed integration and regenerate the mapping from the schemas and sample data alone. Count how many of the fields the engineer had to correct, and which categories those corrections fell into.
