Business Impact
2

Minor improvement. Small efficiency gain with limited effect on overall turnover or bottom line.

Feasibility
4

Relatively straightforward. Off-the-shelf tools handle the core task. Implementation is well-understood with good examples to follow.

Data Readiness
4

Light data requirements. Uses straightforward inputs — documents, product descriptions, customer records — that are usually accessible with minimal prep.

Risk Exposure
4

Low risk. Limited external exposure. A human reviews output before it reaches anyone outside the team.

Change Complexity
5

Very easy to absorb. Runs quietly in the background or gives people a helpful new input. Makes everyday work easier with almost no friction.

Things to consider

  • Most competitor briefings fail because they summarise everything. Define in advance the five questions the executive team actually needs answered each month and discard anything that does not bear on them.

  • Source quality determines credibility. Restrict the model to named, checkable sources and show the link against every claim, because one wrong competitor fact in an executive meeting ends the briefing's life.

  • Competitor job postings and pricing pages are the most underused public signals and the ones that most reliably lead announcements by a quarter.

  • Experiment starter: Produce three monthly briefings and ask each executive to mark the items that changed their thinking. If fewer than two items per issue get marked, the filter is wrong, not the sources.
